The Words of My Mouth :: Caffeinated Randomness

Posted by Kristen on July 10th, 2009 . Filed under: Editor's Blog .

On this glorious random Friday, as the caffeine flows with ease and the joy of the weekend is upon us, I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite words.

My girls and I are doing a study on the power of our internal words (Me, Myself & Lies by Jennifer Rothschild) so naturally all week long I’ve been thinking a lot about the words I tend to focus on throughout my day.

I grabbed my notebook a few days ago and jotted down the words I most speak to myself and to those around me. I chose my favorites and wanted to share.

wordsiloveWhat words do you most often think, speak and love? I’d love to know.

For more random caffeinated fun hop on over to Under Grace & Over Coffee. Andrea would love to have you!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Who else could take caffeinated randomness and make it so beautiful? I love this, I’ve just started the study and I need to go jot down some words I love to meditate on too, great great idea…let’s see some words I’m loving right now? Hope, expectation, communion, satisfied, faithful, and weekend (weekend is a word that always makes me happy!!)

Okay, don’t laugh, lol…I’ve been reading “The Birth Order Book,” and I’ve noticed even more so how much I fit into the only child category (which is totally right). Onlies use “extreme” words like “very” and “so,” etc…and I soooo (see?) do that in my writing. Sometimes I even repeat the words (i.e. — e-mail to Hubby: “I love you so very, very much.” One “so” and 2 “very”s). I also love saying “Fantastic” and “Hilarious” and “Precious” and “Love it!” and “and” — apparently. HAHA!!

Love this..and such a great way to step back and see what it is we’re talking about…insight! =]
Some of my favorite and often used words are~ word, awesome, edify, dork, oh snap, provision, love this, …, bluh, and gorgeous. Yes, I just counted … as a word. Seems I need to quit with all the small talk and being silly and get more into that edifying side of things!

What a good idea! This study is seriously amazing and really making me more aware of what’s going in my mind. I’m sad I missed last night :( Stupid lack of internet (I had to go to the library today just to get work done, and by work I mean catching up on my GR, obvs.)
I’m going to have to try this out!
